Drug Formulation

Motherwort (can be harvested on May 5 or June 6; air-dry; break off the lower half; use the upper half, including the spikes and leaves; pound in a mortar and pestle; sift into a very fine powder) 8 liang, Ginseng (steamed over rice) 1 liang, White Atractylodes (steamed over rice) 1 liang,Poria (steamed over rice) 1 liang, Licorice (roasted) 5 fen, Angelica root (soaked in wine) 2 liang, Ligusticum root 5 fen, Prepared Rehmannia root (soaked in wine) 2 liang, White Peony root (stir-fried with vinegar) 1 liang, Horned Agarwood 4 qian.

Processing

Grind each of the above herbs into an extremely fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 90 pills per dose on an empty stomach with honeyed warm water, followed by dried fruit to settle the stomach. For those who have difficulty swallowing, dissolving the pills before ingestion is particularly effective; in winter, take them with wine.
