Drug Formulation

1 qian of Wood Fragrance, 1 qian of realgar (translucent), 10 pieces of Pinellia (medium-sized, washed 7 times with ginger juice), 3 qian of Cinnamon (coarse bark removed), 49 pieces of Piper longum (medium-sized), 21 apricot kernels (skin and inner membrane removed, 3–2 fen of oil extracted), and 21 croton seeds (3 fen of oil removed).

Processing

First, grind the apricot kernels and croton seeds together into a paste. Simmer 8 fen and 1 zhan of high-quality rice vinegar until reduced to less than 2 fen, forming a thick paste. Mix in the powdered herbs from the previous step until well blended, then add jujube pulp and shape into pills the size of mung beans, flattening them slightly.

For regular use, take 1 pill a long time after a meal, washed down with ginger soup; for acute attacks, take 3 pills; for chest pain in men and women, take with stir-fried Chinese radish and vinegar soup.
