Drug Formulation

Ephedra 1 liang (roots and nodes removed), Red Peony Root 1 liang, Cinnamon Bark 0.5 liang, Licorice 0.5 liang (lightly roasted until reddish, coarsely chopped), Asarum 0.5 liang, Apricot Kernels 0.3 fen (soaked in hot water, skin, tip, and double kernels removed, stir-fried with bran until slightly yellow).

Instructions for Use

Take 4 qian per dose. Decoct in 1 medium bowl of water until reduced to 6 fen. Strain and take while hot, regardless of the time of day. Cover with clothing to induce sweating.
