Drug Formulation

Ginseng 2 liang, Schisandra (stems removed) 1 liang, Ophiopogon 2 liang, Achyranthes (soaked in wine) 2 liang, Astragalus (honey-fried) 1 liang, Cuscuta (soaked in wine, formed into cakes) 2 liang, Fennel (salt-fried) 2 liang, Angelica (soaked in wine) 2 liang, Poria (peeled) 2 liang,1 liang of Wood Fragrance; 4 liang of Sichuan Pepper (seeds removed, ends closed, lightly roasted) and Phellodendron Bark (soaked in wine, roasted); 5 liang of Asparagus Root (core removed); 2 liang of Cistanche (soaked in wine); 2 liang of Cornelian Cherry (pits removed); 2 liang of Eucommia Bark (roasted until broken, fibers removed); 2 liang of Morinda Root (peeled, soaked in wine).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. In autumn and winter, form into pills using a wine paste; in spring and summer, form into pills using honey, each the size of a Paulownia seed.
