Drug Formulation

2 liang of genuine toad fat, 3 liang of Atractylodes macrocephala (soaked in rice wash, sun-dried), 3 liang 6 qian of Tianma (steamed and sun-dried), 3 liang 6 qian of Ephedra (roots and nodes removed, sun-dried), 3 liang 6 qian of realgar (water-washed), 3 liang 6 qian of cinnabar (water-washed), 6 liang of rhubarb with brocade-like veins, 2 liang 4 qian of licorice (peeled), 6 qian of cloves, and 3 qian of Angelica sinensis.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. First, dissolve the toad venom in fire-distilled alcohol; then, add a small amount of glutinous rice porridge to form a thin paste, and roll it into pills the size of radish seeds. Coat the pills with cinnabar.
