Drug Formulation

10 jin of Atractylodes (pounded into a paste, placed in a large pot with 2 buckets of water, simmered over alternating low and high heat until reduced to just over 10 bowls; strain through silk and transfer to a porcelain jar), 4 liang of Ginseng, 4 liang of Raw Rehmannia, 4 liang of Prepared Rehmannia, 4 liang of Phellodendron, 4 liang of Polygala, 4 liang of Eucommia,4 liang of Chuanxiong, 4 liang of walnut meat, 4 liang of Sichuan pepper, 4 liang of Guji, 4 liang of Danggui, 4 liang of ginger juice, 2 liang of rock salt, 1 liang of cinnabar, 2 bowls of Huanliancao juice, and 2 jin of white honey.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix them thoroughly into the ointment, and seal the container tightly. Boil in a large pot of water until two sticks of incense have burned out, then remove and bury in the ground for 7 days.
