Formulas Name : Paulownia Branch Ointment
Chinese Name : 梧枝膏
Drug Formulation
1 jin of sesame oil, 5 liang of orpiment, 1 liang of locust tree branches (1 cun long), 1 liang of willow branches (1 cun long), 1 liang of paulownia branches (1 cun long), 1 liang of mulberry branches (1 cun long), and 1 liang of peach branches (1 cun long).

Processing
First, place the Paulownia branches in a pot and simmer over alternating low and high heat until they turn charred black. Strain out the residue. Next, add the realgar and stir continuously with the willow branches until the mixture turns black. Test by dropping a drop of water into the mixture; if it forms a bead that does not disperse, the ointment is ready.
