Drug Formulation
Tortoise Gelatin (stir-fried with clam powder into beads) 2 liang, Deer Antler Gelatin (stir-fried with clam powder into beads) 2 liang, Tiger Tibia (roasted with clarified butter) 2 liang, Polygonum multiflorum (mixed with black beans, steamed and sun-dried 9 times each) 2 liang,Chuan Niuxi (washed with wine and sun-dried) 2 liang, Du Zhong (stir-fried with ginger juice until the fibers break) 2 liang, Suoyang 2 liang, Danggui (washed with wine and stir-fried until dry) 2 liang, Weilingxian (washed with wine) 1 liang, Huangbai (washed with wine and sun-dried; stir-fried with a pinch of salt and a little wine) 1 liang, Ginseng (root tip removed) 1 liang,Qianghuo 1 liang, Dried Ginger 1 liang, White Peony Root (lightly stir-fried) 1 liang, Yun Bai Zhu (stir-fried with earth) 1 liang, Prepared Rehmannia Root 3 liang, Large Sichuan Aconite Root (soaked in 1 bowl each of a child’s urine and salt water,2 liang of fresh ginger; slice and simmer together for 1 day until thoroughly cooked; add water as needed; after boiling in salt water, remove, peel, and slice thinly; then change to clean water, add 5 qian of Sichuan Coptis and 5 qian of Licorice, and simmer together for the duration of 3 incense sticks; remove and sun-dry until it takes on a bright, amber-like color before use) 1 liang 5 qian.
