Chinese Name : 五虎丹
Drug Formulation
1 liang of fire-refined salt (finely ground), 1 liang of alum (finely ground), 1 liang of mercury (mixed evenly with the salt and alum, then finely ground), 3 qian of cinnabar, and 1 qian of borax.

Processing
Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix with a binder, and place in a wide pot with handles. First, melt over low heat until cooled and solidified. Cover the pot with a large bowl, seal the bowl’s opening with gypsum and salt mud, and heat as follows: first with low heat for one incense stick’s duration, then with high heat for one incense stick’s duration, and finally with gentle heat for one incense stick’s duration. After refining is complete, remove and allow to cool and solidify. Slowly open the seal to retrieve the elixir, add 1 qian of borneol, and grind finely until well blended.

Instructions for Use
To remove the fistula, wrap the medicine in a twisted strip of paper, insert it to draw out the pus, and the wound will gradually heal on its own.
