Drug Formulation

Cassia seeds (ground into powder) 6 fen, Euphorbia seeds (ground) 6 fen, Elephant bile (ground) 4 fen, Qinpi (ground into powder) 4 fen, Phellodendron bark (coarse bark removed, ground into powder) 4 fen,Salt-green (ground) 3 fen, carp gallbladders (skin removed) 4 pieces, Ma Ke (ground) 4 fen, cuttlefish bone (shell removed, ground) 4 fen, conch teeth (calcined, ground) 4 fen.

Grind each of the above herbs into a fine powder.

Instructions for Use

First, decoct the last five ingredients in 3 da sheng of water until reduced to 1 sheng; strain out the residue. Decoct again until reduced to about half a sheng, then add the first five ingredients. Simmer over low heat until reduced to 3 he, and store in an airtight container. For each use, take an amount the size of a soybean, mix with human milk, and apply a small amount to the eye. Keep your eyes closed for a long time. Apply twice a day and once at night; symptoms will cease upon lying down. Wash the eyes with warm diluted water.
