Formulas Name : Fragrant Toad Pill
Chinese Name : 香蟾丹
Drug Formulation
5 dried toads (soak in water to remove bones; use a clay pot, scoop out the flesh from the top of the head and place it in a toad jar; seal with salt and mud; burn over rice-charcoal fire, leaving a small opening; stop when the smoke subsides; remove and leave on the ground overnight to remove the fire toxicity), 1 liang of snake shed skin (burned to ash), half a liang of earthworms (roasted), 1 fen of Indian turmeric,1 fen of cicada shells (grind all the above ingredients into a fine powder and set aside); half a liang of cinnabar (ground); 1 fen of musk (ground); 2 liang of Coptis chinensis.

Grind the above ingredients into a powder and form into pills the size of millet grains using glutinous rice.
