Chinese Name : 参附回阳汤

Drug Formulation

3 liang of ginseng, 5 qian of aconite root, 1 qian of manchurian armadillo shell, and a pinch of glutinous rice.

Benefits

For smallpox characterized by pure yin without yang, with grayish-white, sunken pustules; thin skin and clear exudate; diarrhea and cold extremities; and qi deficiency.

Instructions for Use

Decoct and drink. Convulsions will appear immediately; after a long time, yang will return and fill the pustules with pus. If the convulsions are severe—to the point where all smallpox lesions on the body disappear—immediately apply fly ash or pine pollen to the affected areas; this can also turn death into life.
