Drug Formulation

3 qian of Angelica sinensis, 7 fen of red peony root (wine-fried), 1 qian of Atractylodes lancea (soaked in a child’s urine), 1 qian of raw Rehmannia glutinosa (soaked in wine),Smilax glabra 1 qian, black dogspine (hairs and roots removed) 2 qian, Chuanxiong 7 fen, Qianghuo 1 qian 5 fen, Qin Jiao (rhizome removed) 1 qian 5 fen, Chuan Duhuo 1 qian, Acanthopanax bark 2 qian, Coptis (stir-fried with ginger juice) 1 qian, Phellodendron (wine-fried) 1 qian, Safflower (washed with wine) 8 fen,Scutellaria baicalensis (wine-fried) 1 qian and 5 fen, Astragalus membranaceus (wine-fried) 2 qian, Panax ginseng 2 qian, Achyranthes bidentata (stem removed, wine-soaked) 1 qian and 5 fen, Eucommia ulmoides (stir-fried with 1 qian of aniseed, 1 qian of salt, and 2 zhong of water per 1 liang) 2 qian, raw Glycyrrhiza uralensis 2 fen.

Instructions for Use

7 peach branches, each 1.5 cun long; 7 pieces of lampwick. Decoct in water; just before taking, add 1 zhan of a child’s urine and 1 zhan of good wine. Take warm on an empty stomach. Re-decoct the residue and take it as well.

Note

Avoid alcohol, wheat products, carp, mutton, and goose.
