Drug Formulation

2 liang of honeysuckle, 2 liang of forsythia (seeds removed), 2 liang of kudzu root, 2 liang of isatis leaf, 2 liang of pollen, 1 liang 6 qian of scrophularia (root removed), 1 liang 6 qian of peppermint leaf, 1 liang of raw gardenia, 8 qian of red peony root, 6 qian of puffball mushroom, 6 qian of Zhejiang fritillary bulb, 6 qian of mulberry leaf, 6 qian of trichosanthes peel (fried with wheat bran),Scutellaria baicalensis 6 qian, stir-fried silkworm pupae 6 qian, Anemarrhena asphodeloides 6 qian, Phellodendron amurense 6 qian, raw gypsum 4 liang.

Processing

Decoct the above herbs to extract the juice, remove the residue, and filter. Simmer the juice until it reaches the consistency where a drop applied to the back of a hair-thin sheet of paper does not leave a shadow; collect the clear paste. For every 8 liang of clear paste, mix with 1 jin of honey to form a paste. For every 1 jin 8 liang of paste, mix with 1 fen of antelope horn powder and 8 fen of borneol; stir well and bottle.
