Formulas Name : Goose Feather Pill

Chinese Name : 鹅翎丹

Drug Formulation

3 liang of powdered炉甘石 (prepared by decocting 2 liang of Sichuan Coptis and 2 liang of Gentiana herb to extract the juice; calcine the炉甘石 until red-hot, then quench it in the decoction until it reaches the consistency of butter; grind it extremely fine, like dust, and return it to the decoction; sun-dry); 2 qian of official-grade borax; 1 qian of fresh pearl powder; 0.5 fen of camphor; 0.5 fen of amber; 0.5 fen of bear bile.

Processing

Grind until no sound is heard, then mix into the decoction, roll into thin strands as fine as thread, air-dry, and store in a goose-quill tube.
