Drug Formulation

Large Black Aconite Root (roasted, peel and tip removed) 2 liang, Large Sichuan Aconite Root (roasted, peel and tip removed) 2 liang, Silla White Aconite Root (roasted) 2 liang, White Tribulus (roasted, thorns removed) 1 liang, White Stiff Silkworm (washed, silk removed, lightly roasted) 1 liang,Wulingzhi (ground) 1 liang, Myrrh (ground separately) half a liang, White Alum (dried, ground separately) half a liang, Pure Musk (ground) half a liang, Fine Incense Ink (ground into juice) half a liang, Cinnabar (ground) half a liang, Gold leaf 200 sheets (as coating).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder and mix thoroughly. Combine the powder with the ink juice mentioned above. Divide each liang into 6 pills, let them air-dry, and coat them with gold leaf.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill per dose. Grate half a liang of fresh ginger (with the skin on) to extract its natural juice, then dissolve the pill completely in the ginger juice. Warm half a zhan of ash-free wine until lukewarm, mix it with the dissolved pill, and drink while warm. Depending on the patient’s tolerance for alcohol, consume an additional 1–2 sheng of warm wine to enhance the medicine’s efficacy. Next, cover the patient with a blanket and have them lie down until they break a sweat. For milder cases, take half a pill per dose at any time.For those with chronic wind-related ailments, regular use is particularly beneficial.
