Formulas Name : Guan-Eliminating Pills
Chinese Name : 退疳丸
Drug Formulation
Half a qian of Hu Huanglian, half a qian of Huanglian (stems removed), half a qian of Da Huang, 1 fen of Chen Jupi (soaked in hot water, white pith removed, and roasted), 1 fen of Kulin Root (grind the above 5 ingredients into a fine powder; mix with pig gallbladder juice, then place the mixture back into the gallbladder and sew it shut with thread; add 2 bowls of water and boil until all the water has evaporated; remove the medicine); 1 fen of Qing Dai (ground), 1 fen of Shijunzi (shell removed),cinnabar (ground) 1 fen, aloe (ground) 1 fen, musk (ground) half a qian.

Processing
Grind the last five ingredients separately into a fine powder. Mix this with the powder from the pig’s gallbladder to form pills the size of mung beans.

Instructions for Use
Take 10 pills at a time, washed down with rice water, at any time of day.
