Drug Formulation

He Shou Wu (wash thoroughly, scrape off the black skin with a bamboo knife, and slice) 1 jin (combine with 1 jin of clean black beans; soak both in freshly drawn water overnight; cook until the beans are soft; remove and sun-dry); Achyranthes root (remove the shoots, soak in wine, slice, and roast) half liang; Aconite (roasted, remove skin and core) 4 liang; Acorus (select small, firm ones; remove skin and hairs) 4 liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Simmer with 4 sheng of wine and 2 sheng of vinegar over low heat, stirring constantly with a bamboo whisk. When the mixture is ready, use a pestle to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.
