Drug Formulation

Arsenic 1 liang (calcined), Croton seed 10 liang (oil removed), Aconite root 1 liang (processed), Gleditsia seeds 6 pieces, Realgar half a liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take 1.5 liang each of beeswax and asphalt (of good quality), 1 liang of yellow丹, and 1.5 liang of cinnabar; grind them finely, melt them over heat, and mix in the aforementioned powdered medicine. While still hot, form into pills the size of a chicken’s head.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill per dose; take regularly on an empty stomach with salted water;For small intestine colic, take cold wine infused with stir-fried fennel seeds, add Akebia stem, and take with a decoction of the mixture; for loose bowels and rectal prolapse, take with warm wine decocted with dried ginger and mugwort; for heart-qi pain, take 2 pills after roasting coins and quenching them in vinegar; for masses caused by stagnant qi, chew a dried persimmon and take 1 pill; for women with absent menstruation and various postpartum disorders, take with Angelica sinensis wine; for excessive cold tears from the eyes, take with salt and pepper soup.
