Drug Formulation

Dried ginger (unroasted) 1 liang, genuine tangerine peel (with white pith intact, washed) 1 liang, Tiannanxing (raw) 1 liang, Pinellia (unwashed) 1 liang.

From *Bai Yi*, Volume 5.

Processing

First, pound 1 liang of ginger (with the skin on) until pulverized; mix the processed Pinellia and Southern Star powders to form a dough. Then, combine the remaining herbs into a single mixture and grind them into a fine powder. Use the natural juice of the ginger to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed; coat them with a small amount of realgar.

Instructions for Use

Take 30–50 pills each time, washed down with ginger tea; may be taken at any time. It is especially effective when taken before bedtime.
