Formulas Name : Hedgehog Skin and Dragon Pills
Chinese Name : 猬皮象龙丸
Drug Formulation
1 liang of mercury, 1 liang of realgar, 1 liang of orpiment, 1 liang of ore, 1 liang of Yuliang stone, 1 liang of alum (grind into a powder, place in a Yangcheng jar, and seal tightly.Heat over a fire for the duration of three sticks of incense; wipe the bottom of the bowl with water; wait until the incense has burned out and leave it overnight; remove it to allow the fire toxicity to dissipate before mixing with the subsequent ingredients), hedgehog skin (roasted in earth) 1 liang, pangolin scales (roasted in earth) 1 liang, ivory (roasted) 1 liang, dragon’s blood 6 qian, frankincense 5 qian, myrrh 5 qian, calcined pig’s hock 5 qian.

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; melt 2 liang of beeswax and use it to form pills the size of mung beans.

Instructions for Use
Take 50 pills each time, washed down with Sophora flower decoction, three times a day.
Note
Avoid tea, alcohol, scallions, garlic, chili, fermented rice wine, and sexual activity.
