Drug Formulation
Cistanche (washed) 2 liang, Sichuan Achyranthes (washed, root base removed) 2 liang, Sichuan Smilax 2 liang, Sichuan Pepper (seeds removed) 1 liang, Cornus officinalis (cleaned) 1 liang,imported anise 1 liang (soaked in fine wine for 3 days in spring and summer, or 6 days in fall and winter; filtered and dried in an oven), Sichuan melia fruit (sliced into 4 pieces and stir-fried with wheat bran) 3 liang, Polygonum multiflorum (stir-fried with wheat bran) 4 liang, fenugreek (stir-fried with wheat bran) 2 liang,Poria cocos (peeled) 2 liang, Aconite root 1 piece (weighing 7 qian; processed, with skin and pith removed).

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Use the medicinal wine used to soak the herbs to cook a wheat flour paste, then form it into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use
Take 30–50 pills per dose on an empty stomach with salted wine; for dry and wet beriberi, take with wood apple soup; for various gynecological disorders involving blood and qi, take with a decoction of mugwort and vinegar.
