Immortals’ Polygonatum Paste

Chinese Name : 神仙服黄精膏
Drug Formulation
1 shi of Polygonatum (stems removed), 3 liang of ground dried ginger, and 1 liang of ground cinnamon bark.

Processing
First, rinse the Polygonatum with water until clean, chop it finely, steam it until thoroughly soft, press to extract the juice, and simmer it in a large cauldron. Once the free water has evaporated, add the ground dried ginger and ground cinnamon bark and simmer further. Stop when the color turns a deep yellow. Allow to cool, then transfer to a non-porous container.
Instructions for Use
Each day on an empty stomach, take 2 he of the medicine and mix it with 5 he of warm wine; take it twice daily for best results. Within 20 days, the old skin all over the body will shed, the complexion will lighten, and the beard and hair will change; if taken with black bean yellow powder, one may cease eating grains immediately.
