Drug Formulation
1 liang of cinnabar (if of excellent quality, grind it into a fine powder first), 1 liang of ox bile, 1 liang of musk, 1 liang of raw borneol, and 1 liang of mercury oxide (finely ground).

Grind the ingredients into a powder and store tightly in a porcelain box.

For severe cases of smallpox in children where the lesions do not erupt smoothly, as well as black lesions and all other severe symptoms.
Instructions for Use
For children, administer 1 zi per dose; for adults, half a qian per dose. Mix with a small amount of mercury, 2–3 drops of fresh blood drawn from the tail of a young piglet, and a small amount of freshly drawn water. The patient will first become calm and fall asleep; thereafter, the mixture will be expelled as rotten fish intestines, guava sap, rice husk sap, and foul-smelling matter, after which the patient will recover. Mixing with breast milk is particularly effective for children.
