Drug Formulation

3 liang of Sichuan Aconite, 3 liang of Wild Aconite, 4 liang of Sichuan Phellodendron Fruit, 3 liang of Goat’s Horn Flower, 6 liang of Rhubarb, 4 liang of Human Hair, 3 liang of Raw Pinellia, 3 liang of Raw Pinellia Rhizome, 5 liang of Bletilla, 5 liang of White Smilax, 6 liang of Angelica, 4 liang of Earth Fritillary Bulb, 3 liang of Honeysuckle, and 4 liang of White Angelica.

Processing

Soak the above herbs in 5 jin of sesame oil for 3 days; then decoct until dry, remove the dregs, and filter thoroughly. Add 40 liang of red cinnabar to form a paste; soak in water to remove the fire toxicity.

Instructions for Use

Apply as desired. For newly formed boils, leave the “head” intact when applying the ointment.
