1 qian of Wulingzhi, 5 qian of Southern Frankincense, and 40 seeds of Croton.

Processing

First, grind the Five-Spirit Fat and Southern Frankincense into a fine powder and set aside. Peel the Croton seeds to obtain 40 clean kernels; remove the tender skin from the kernels. Wrap them in damp paper and roast them over low heat until thoroughly cooked. Remove them, wrap them in cotton paper, and gently pound to extract the oil, replacing the paper whenever it becomes wet, until a white powder forms—this is called “Croton Frost.” Mix this evenly with the previous two ingredients.make into pills the size of mung beans using a vinegar-based paste, coat them with cinnabar, dry them in the sun, and store.
