Drug Formulation
1 large blood turtle shell (must use the lower half; it is essential not to use a shell that has been boiled in soup), 1 liang of white beeswax (ground into a fine powder).

Processing
First, heat the turtle shell in an oven; gradually sprinkle the beeswax powder over it. Once all the powder has been applied, the shell will be roasted until dry. Place it on the ground to release the heat, then grind it into a fine powder.

Effective for all types of unexplained swellings and toxic sores, including abscesses on the face and back, wandering abscesses, boils, and carbuncles.
Instructions for Use
Take it with rice wine until intoxicated; after taking it, lie on your back immediately. A profuse sweat will follow, and the condition will be cured. If the condition is not fully resolved, take half the dose again; it will certainly be cured. Note that the turtle shell must be roasted over mulberry wood fire; if mulberry wood is hard to find, green charcoal may be used instead, but coal fire must never be used.
