Drug Formulation

1 liang of lacquer, 1 liang of sulfur,half a liang of mercury (combined with sulfur to form a sand-like substance, then finely ground), half a liang of realgar (finely ground), 1 liang of myrrh (finely ground), 1 liang of arrowroot, 1 liang of angelica root (chopped, lightly roasted, and ground into a powder), 4 dog gallbladders (dried; ground into a powder), and 1 fen of croton seed (peel and core removed, ground, wrapped in paper, and pressed to remove oil).

Processing

First, grind the mercury sand and croton seeds into a fine powder. Simmer 1.5 sheng of strong vinegar until it becomes as thick as lacquer, then add the powdered ingredients and form into pills the size of mung beans.
