Drug Formulation

1 liang of Poria cocos, 1 liang of Alisma orientale,1 liang of Ginseng (stem removed), 1 liang of Schisandra, 1 liang of Ligusticum, half a liang of Licorice (lightly roasted until slightly reddish, chopped), 1 liang of Astragalus (chopped), 1 liang of Angelica (chopped, lightly roasted), 1 liang of Eucommia (coarse bark removed, lightly roasted, chopped), 1.5 liang of Cinnamon Bark,1 liang of Dendrobium (roots removed, coarsely chopped), 2 liang of Prepared Rehmannia, 1 liang of Cistanche (soaked in wine, rough skin removed, lightly roasted), and 3 liang of Magnetite (crushed, rinsed with water to remove the red liquid, then wrapped in silk).

Instructions for Use

Take half a liang per dose. Use 2 large bowls of water, add one pair of sheep kidneys (finely sliced and with the fatty membrane removed), 1 fen of ginger, and 5 jujubes. Simmer together with the magnetite bundle until reduced to 1 large bowl. Strain and take warm in two divided doses before meals.
