Processing

First, dissolve the calcium carbonate in clear wine and let it steep for 14 or 21 days; then combine it with the Sophora root in a wine jar and let it steep for 7 days.

Instructions for Use

Take it gradually. Dosage instructions: For the first 7 days, take an amount roughly the size of half a chicken egg per dose; after 7 days, you may drink 1 sheng at a time, consuming as much as you like. Take it on an empty stomach, three times a day. The more you take, the better; the ailment will disappear quickly, though it may cause frequent episodes of restlessness. Do not drink to the point of intoxication or vomiting; it is better to drink gradually in smaller amounts rather than in large quantities. For both red and white leprosy, this medicine has never failed to cure within the prescribed time; other conditions are not difficult to treat.

Note

Avoid sexual intercourse, intense anger, and extreme heat; strictly avoid sticky foods, pungent spices, raw and cold foods, strong vinegar, dairy products, white liquor, and the meat of pigs, fish, chickens, dogs, donkeys, horses, cows, and sheep—all of these are strictly prohibited. All other foods are permitted.
