5 fen of camphor, 1 pinch of Sichuan red pepper.

Processing

Grind the above herbs separately into a fine powder. Place the powder in a copper spoon, cover it with a teacup lid, and seal the edges with a thick layer of dough to prevent the fumes from escaping. Place it over a brazier and heat gently. After a short while, when the camphor fumes begin to escape, remove it and set it on the ground. Wait until it cools, then lift the lid; the medicine will have risen to the bottom of the teacup. Scrape it into a porcelain container, seal it tightly, and store for future use.
