Licorice (roasted) 1 liang, Fangfeng (with branches removed) 1 liang, White Atractylodes 3 fen, Platycodon 3 fen, Leiwan 2.5 liang.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a coarse powder. Take 1 jin of pork lard that does not render in water; first render it in a pot over heat, strain out the dregs, then add the powdered herbs. Simmer further until it forms a paste. Filter through fresh cotton to remove any remaining residue, and store in a porcelain jar.

Instructions for Use

Each time, take a small amount, warm it in your hands, and rub the ointment onto the affected area; it is highly effective. For healthy infants, rubbing the ointment daily on the fontanelle and the palms and soles of the feet is beneficial.
