Formulas Name : Life-Sustaining Duhuo Decoction

Chinese Name : 续命独活汤

Drug Formulation

Duhuo (with root tip removed): 2 liang; Fangfeng (with branches removed): 2 liang; Ginseng: 2 liang; Peony Root: 2 liang; Fangji: 1.5 liang; Cinnamon Bark (with coarse bark removed): 1 liang; Antelope Horn (chopped): 0.3 fen.

Processing

Coarsely crush the ingredients into pieces the size of sesame or soybeans.

Benefits

Hemiplegia. Hemiparesis, feverish oppression, and slurred speech.

Instructions for Use

Take 5 qian per dose; add 1.5 zhan of water, decoct until reduced to 8 fen, strain out the residue, add half a he of bamboo sap, decoct for another 1–2 boils, and take while warm.
