Drug Formulation

Ground pine, rehmannia shoots, artemisia, cocklebur shoots, and 5 liang of red peony root (pounded and ground; add a small amount of water, then strain to extract the concentrated juice); 3 sheng of lime (fresh); 3 he of raw mugwort juice; and 2.5 liang of orpiment (added later).

Processing

Prepare this formula at noon on the 5th day of the 5th month or the 7th day of the 7th month; mix the lime with the decoction from the previous herbs until all the liquid is absorbed. Allow it to dry, then grind it and mix in the yellow丹 until uniform, and seal tightly.
