Drug Formulation

1.5 qian of aged tangerine peel, 2–3 qian of pinellia, 2 qian of poria, 1 qian of licorice, 1 qian of apricot kernels (peeled, de-tipped, and sliced), and 5–7 fen of white mustard seeds.

Instructions for Use

Decoct in 1.5 zhong of water with 3–7 slices of fresh ginger until reduced to 7 fen; take after a meal.

Note

This formula should not be used in cases of sudden collapse due to qi deficiency or when the qi is normal and there is no phlegm.
