Drug Formulation

Chuan Danggui (stems removed, washed) half liang, Jiegeng (also known as “radish root”) half liang, Niuxi half liang (not soaked in wine), Gusui Bu 2 liang (hairs removed), Chuan Wu (not heated, sliced, and boiled in vinegar), Chuan Xiong 1 jin,1 jin of Bai Cao Shuang, 1 jin of Cao Wu (soaked in a lye solution made from mountain alum), half a jin of Mu Bie Zi (with the oily shell removed), half a jin of Red Peony Root, 1 dou of black beans (soaked in wine, boiled, and dried in an oven), and Jin Mao Gou Ji (with the tail removed).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; mix with a paste made from flour boiled in wine to form pills the size of a tung tree seed.

Take 50 pills per dose, washed down with warm wine; for women, take with mugwort vinegar soup.
