Chinese Name : 截瘴丸
Drug Formulation
5 liang of Changshan (stir-fried with vinegar 7 times), 40 black plums (pitted), 40 areca nuts, and 3 liang of licorice.

Processing
Stir-fry the ingredients together as above, grind into a fine powder, and form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using a rice paste mixed with ginger juice.
Benefits
For malaria, regardless of whether the fever is cold or hot, and whether it occurs once a day, every two days, or every three days.
Instructions for Use
Take 21 pills per dose; it is best to swallow them with wine before an attack begins, and taking 7–8 doses a day is particularly effective. Do not take them during an active attack.
Note
After the malaria subsides, avoid chicken, fish, mutton, fermented fish noodles, scallions, Chinese chives, garlic, raw or cold fruits and vegetables, and all toxic substances. Avoid wind and cold; abstain from sexual activity; and do not become angry.
