Drug Formulation

5 liang of Mangcao, 8 liang of Aconite (raw, peeled), 4 liang of Salvia miltiorrhiza, 3 liang of Stephania tetrandra,4 liang of Chuanxiong, 3 liang of Sichuan Pepper, 4 liang of Evodia, 3 liang of Angelica dahurica, half a liang of Agarwood, half a liang of Linglingxiang, half a liang of Jieshixiang, 2 liang of Rhinoceros Horn (ground into powder), 3 liang of Angelica sinensis, 4 liang of Phytolacca root, and half a liang of Blue Aquilaria.

Processing

Chop the ingredients as directed.

Benefits

For stubborn arthralgia caused by wind-toxin.

Instructions for Use

Soak in vinegar overnight; then simmer with 3 da jin of high-quality butter for nine cycles of boiling and cooling, strain through a cloth to remove the dregs. Use to rub the affected areas of stubborn arthralgia and swelling. The ointment penetrates the flesh without causing harm and does not interfere with the intake of other medications.

Note

Avoid pork and cold water.
