Mountain Gardenia (burned to ash and sifted into a fine powder) half qian, Frankincense half qian, a small amount of mercury oxide.

Instructions for Use

Before each application, first boil the white part of the green onion and Sichuan peppercorns to make a decoction, then use it to wash the sore. Wait a short while, then wash it once more with lukewarm whey. Once all the foul discharge has been removed, boil plain water until it has boiled a hundred times, let it cool to a warm temperature, and wash the sore again. Continue this process until all pus, blood streaks, and clear fluid have completely drained from the sore. Then, pat the area dry with a clean cloth before applying the poultice.For dry sores, mix the powder with sesame oil and apply; for wet sores, apply the powder dry. If the sore is full, firm, and soft, cover it with silk cloth. If the center is hard and no pus is present, this remedy is not yet applicable. If the sore is swollen, soft, and contains pus, wash and apply the poultice as described above; it will heal after 2–3 applications.
