Drug Formulation
1 liang of Sichuan Curcuma (authentic), 2 liang of raw Rehmannia root (soil removed), 1 liang of licorice root, and 1 jin of pork lard from the 12th lunar month.

Processing
Coarsely chop the ingredients into pieces the size of soybeans, add them to the lard, and simmer until the mixture turns a charred black color. Strain out the herbal residue, add 4 liang of pure, clear beeswax, and melt it while stirring. Gradually mix in the strained herbal paste until uniform. Transfer to a porcelain container, submerge it in water, and let it sit for a long time; eventually, remove the water and set it aside.

Instructions for Use
Before each application, first wash the wound with cold water, pat it dry, apply the ointment to the wound, and cover it with white paper. For burns or scalds, there is no need to wash the area with water.
