Instructions for Use
Add 10 bowls of water to a copper pot and boil for one hour. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly; then immerse your hands in the water and twist and pull the Huangxiang several times. Once it has cooled completely, remove it, grind it again, and boil it once more. Repeat this process nine times until the Huangxiang becomes soft and pliable. Store it in a porcelain container to prevent air from entering. Take 3 qian per dose on an empty stomach, mixed with hot rice wine.

After taking the medicine, the toxins will be expelled through both urine and feces. Arrange in advance for someone to dig a deep pit in an open, remote area; as the toxins are expelled, dispose of them in the pit. Once all toxins have been expelled, cover the pit with soil to prevent contamination of others. After the toxins have been expelled, one must eat plain rice and rest quietly to recuperate; avoid rich, spicy foods that may aggravate the condition. Also avoid all raw, cold, fishy, and meat-based foods that may trigger the condition; sexual activity is strictly prohibited. If these prohibitions are violated, the condition will be incurable.
