Drug Formulation

Honeysuckle 100g, Forsythia 100g, Platycodon 100g, Schizonepeta Spikes 100g,100g Arctium lappa seeds (roasted), 100g Glycyrrhiza uralensis, 100g Bambusa vulgaris leaves, 100g Mentha haplocalyx, 100g fermented soybeans, 1g Antelope horn, 1g Rhinoceros horn, 5g Borneol.

Processing

① Grind the antelope horn and rhinoceros horn separately into a fine powder and sieve. ② Grind the licorice root into a fine powder and sieve. ③ Extract Forsythia and Bamboo Leaves twice using the decoction method: 3 hours for the first extraction and 2 hours for the second. Clarify the extract, filter it, and evaporate it to a thick paste.④ Extract Honeysuckle and Light Soybean Paste twice using the hot maceration method: 3 hours for the first extraction and 2 hours for the second. Clarify the macerate, filter it, and evaporate it to a thick paste.⑤ Prepare Platycodon root and Arctium lappa seeds as coarse powders. Using the percolation method, soak them separately in 60% ethanol as the solvent for 24 hours, then begin percolation. Evaporate the percolate to a thick paste.⑥ Extract the essential oil from Schizonepeta spikelets using the essential oil extraction method until completely exhausted. ⑦ Replace peppermint with 0.5% menthol and 0.5% peppermint oil. ⑧ Take the fine powder of licorice from Item 2 and mix it with the thick pastes from Items ③, ④, ⑤, and⑥, and supplement with an appropriate amount of starch. Add the fine powder from item ① and granulate using the two-step granulation method described above. Then add 0.5 g each of borneol and menthol, 0.5 mL of peppermint oil, and 0.5 mL of Schizonepeta spikelet oil; mix thoroughly and compress into tablets. Each tablet weighs approximately 0.25 g (equivalent to 0.6 g of the original herbal material).
