Drug Formulation
Potassium nitrate 8 fen, silkworm pupae (pupae removed, lightly roasted) 8 fen, indigo powder 8 fen, licorice 2 fen, cattail pollen 5 fen, puffball mushroom 3 fen, musk 1 fen, opium 1 fen.

Processing
Grind each of the above herbs into a fine powder, weigh the required amounts, mix thoroughly, and store in a porcelain bottle.

For acute and chronic laryngeal obstruction, sore throat, swelling and obstruction preventing swallowing, and tongue swelling.
Instructions for Use
In cases of acute or chronic laryngeal obstruction, sore throat, or swelling and obstruction of the throat, immediately take 1 qian of the above formula, mix it with half a zhan of freshly drawn water, and sip it slowly. If it is indeed laryngeal obstruction, purple blood will be expelled and the condition will be cured; if it is not laryngeal obstruction, the symptoms will dissipate immediately.For various types of tongue swelling, take 5 fen of the medicine, dip a finger in it, and rub it over the entire surface of the tongue; then swallow the saliva. For children, use only 2–3 fen, following the same method as above; this may be administered at any time.
