Drug Formulation

Ephedra 160 liang, processed Strychnos seed 160 liang (when using Strychnos seeds from Vietnam or Cambodia, reduce the dosage by half according to the prescription), Notopterygium root 12 liang, Angelica pubescens root 12 liang, *Qiannianjian* 12 liang, *Zhuandifeng* 12 liang, Achyranthes root (Huai) 12 liang,Frankincense (roasted) 12 liang, Myrrh (roasted) 12 liang, Papaya 12 liang, Eucommia (roasted) 12 liang, Fangfeng 12 liang, Cinnamon Twig 12 liang, Licorice 12 liang.

Processing

Grind the 10 ingredients from Qiannianjian to Licorice into a fine powder; grind the processed Strychnos seed into a fine powder; grind Ephedra, Notopterygium, and Angelica pubescens into a No. 3 coarse powder; and mix thoroughly with the fine Strychnos seed powder.Combine the fine powder of Strychnos nux-vomica with the coarse mixture of Ephedra and the others, and extract using the percolation method with 6 times the volume of 70% ethanol to yield a thick paste of approximately 90 liang. Mix, granulate, and compress into tablets; coat with an orange-red sugar coating (using 1.25 g of carmine and 0.31 g of tartrazine per 100 liang) and polish.

Instructions for Use

Take 2 tablets at a time with warm water, once daily; do not exceed the recommended dose.
