Drug Formulation

8 liang of perilla oil, 4 liang of lard, 2 qian of human tendons (washed clean), 2 qian of human hair, 4 liang of orpiment (finely ground), and 4 liang of colophony (pure powder).

Processing

Heat the perilla oil and lard together; wait until the lard has completely rendered, then strain out the residue. Add the human tendons and human hair, and fry until both ingredients are fully dissolved. Next, add the mica; stir with a locust tree twig until the smoke has completely dissipated and the mixture forms beads when a drop of water is added. Remove from heat, then add the colophony and stir until well blended. When the heat is sufficient, place the mixture in water to remove the toxic properties from the fire, then store.
