Drug Formulation

Ophiopogon (with core removed) 3 liang, wheat 1 he, Ephedra (with roots and nodes removed) 1.5 liang, licorice (chopped) 1 liang, gypsum (crushed) 3 fen.

Instructions for Use

Take 5 qian per dose, add 1.5 zhan of water, along with 1 piece of ginger (the size of a jujube, crushed), 2 jujubes (pitted), 5 bamboo leaves, and half fen of raw Rehmannia root (coarsely chopped). Decoct together until reduced to 1 zhan, strain, and divide into two doses to be taken warm—one on an empty stomach and one before bedtime.
