Drug Formulation
Coptis (stems removed, ground into powder) 1 liang, Aloe (ground) 1 liang, Borneol (ground separately) half a qian.

Processing
First, wrap the Coptis and Aloe vera powders in fresh cotton. Using 2 zhan of water, boil the mixture in a silver vessel over high heat to extract the juice until the volume is reduced by two-thirds. Strain the mixture through the cotton to remove the herbs, then add the borneol and store the mixture in a porcelain bottle.

Instructions for Use
Apply to the eyes 2–3 times daily.
