Drug Formulation

Half a jin of toon bark, 1 jin of sour pears, 3 liang of fresh ginger, and 4 liang of brown sugar.

Processing

First, simmer the toon bark in plenty of water (about 3 liters) until reduced to 1 jin; strain to remove the residue and retain the liquid. Next, pound the ginger and pears to extract their juice and strain out the solids. Combine the two liquids in a pot, bring to a boil, then add the brown sugar and simmer until it forms a paste.

Take 1 spoonful each morning and evening, washed down with hot water.
