Drug Formulation

1 bar of unwormed soapberry (peel and string removed).

From *Jiyang Gangmu*, Volume 28.

Processing

Split it into two pieces, remove the seeds, insert one peeled croton seed into each hole, tie securely with thread, soak in a child’s urine overnight, roast over a fire until dry, and grind into a fine powder.

Benefits

For persistent wheezing and cough that has not healed.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 character’s worth each time; before bedtime, dip a piece of dried persimmon in the powder, chew it, and swallow. If dried persimmon is unavailable, substitute with white sugar.

Note

Avoid soups, liquids, and other such foods.
