Formulas Name : Bai Shang Decoction

Chinese Name : 百伤饮

Drug Formulation

3 liang of dried kudzu root, 2 liang of cleaned cyperus rhizome, 1 liang of cimicifuga root (cleaned and washed), 1 liang of green tangerine peel (white pith removed), 1 liang of aged tangerine peel (white pith removed), 1 liang of rice sprouts (cleaned, washed, and dried), 1 liang of barley sprouts (cleaned, washed, and dried),1 liang of Platycodon root (chopped, stir-fried), 1 liang of Perilla (with roots), 1 liang of Amomum villosum, 1 liang of Licorice, 1 liang of Shenqu (stir-fried), 1 liang of Red Peony root, 7 qian and a half of Ephedra (with roots and nodes intact), 7 qian and a half of Fructus Aurantii (sliced, stir-fried with wheat bran until slightly charred).

Instructions for Use

Take 2 qian per dose; boil with 1 zhan of water until reduced to 7 fen; take warm at any time; or add fresh ginger and scallion whites to the decoction.

Note

Not to be used for chronic convulsions or spleen deficiency.
